Although many of the top stables are represented here there is a suspicion that this maiden may not take much winning and the twice raced Robert Burns gets the vote. This colt showed quite a bit of promise at Haydock recently, where after being held-up out the back, he stayed on in eye-catching style to take the minor honours. He was never in a position to trouble what could well be two smart sorts that fought out the finish but with the benefit of the outing and experience, he should be spot on for a big challenge today. Shindy makes her seasonal debut here having had two runs last backend. The form of her second outing does not read as well as anticipated now while Arts Guild, who encounters a quick turf surface for the first time here, showed some promise in maidens, finishing third in a Newbury maiden where many failed to act on the prevailing ground conditions. Support for the remaining fillies I'm Sensational and Cwn Rhondda would be significant given connections although jockey bookings would suggest that today may not be the day for that pair. Philip Robinson takes a rare ride for Godolphin aboard Meydan City who cost an astronomical amount of money as a yearling. Robert Burns is selected to land this maiden.
