Befortyfour, Monsieur Reynard and Little Pete make the shortlist here with Monsieur Reynard takenn to follow up a last time out win. Little Pete scored in good style before finding Befortyfour too strong next time. He is clearly in good heart but may find some in form rivals too strong. Befortyfour has been in terrific form, culminating in a comfortable win at Leicester last time. The handicapper has raised him eight pounds but he is going to be hard to beat in his current mood. Monsieur Reynard is only a pound better off with Little Pete for a recent defeat, and although strictly on the book he will struggle to reverse the form, his subsequent defeat of Wise Melody at Windsor was advertised when that one won well at Ripon. Monsieur Reynard receives weight from his principal rivals here and can collect.
