A tricky handicap in which Trew Class is only a tentative pick, with The Violin Player, Karaoke and Best Be Going just three others with chances. Trew Class looked one to follow when opening her account at Sandown last June, and a follow up at Pontefract did nothing to dispel the theory. However, she went off the boil afterwards and was put away for the winter. Judging by her comeback third at Nottingham where she pulled hard and led for most of the way, she needs to settle down a bit but has retained her ability, and could be one to follow in handicap company. The Violin Player has been in prolific form on the all-weather and will appreciate this faster surface more than the soft ground that he encountered on his return to Turf at Epsom. He is another to consider along with Karaoke who is back on his winning mark. Walter Swinburn has booked Frankie Dettori for Best Be Going who responded to the visor when gaining a narrow victory at Windsor last October. Petite Paramour has bits and pieces of form that give him a chance as well, but the pin comes down on Trew Class in a real head scratcher.
