In the opener the vote goes to Crimson ahead of Flash And Dazzle, It's Twilight Time, Rubber and Oranges And Lemons. The selection's pedigree has much to like about it, and this 44,000 guineas purchase, who is trained by Mick Channon, is sure to know her job. In a race where there are many unknown quantities, she gets the nod. Favourable comments also apply to Flash And Dazzle, who cost 90,000 guineas and is a half-sister to some good winners including Siena Gold, and there is plenty of speed in the pedigree of It's Twilight Time, and she is one to note along with her stablemate Rubber, while Oranges And Lemons showed promise in what looked a reasonable maiden on her debut. Of the others, Bathwick Alice's debut run rates as fair if unspectacular, while ones to have a look at in the betting include High Heal Sneakers, Marriage Value, who is quite highly regarded by her trainer, and Tara Too, who has plenty of speed in her pedigree. Overall, though, the vote goes to Crimson.
