Division two of the maiden presents us with even less to go on than the first leg and with nothing special having been shown by the two runners with racecourse experience in Outland and Survivor's Song, we'll side with the newcomer ALHAQUE to score. Peter Chapple-Hyam's yard is back in form and in spite of a disappointing season overall, his juvenile strike rate of 10 per cent doesn't look too bad. The Galileo colt should appreciate this trip first time out and can win at the first time of asking on ground that will suit. Brave Echo is bred to get better with age, but should be up to winning at two, so check out the market for clues. Sir Michael Stoute has had a thin time of it with his two-year-olds this time and although Dubai Echo is respected, he should do better in 2009. Kansai Spirit is related to juvenile winners and should love the fast ground, as should Kyleene, though the latter again looks one who will be better as she matures. Survivor's Song is the pick of the pair with experience but Alhaque is the tentative suggestion here.
