Verdict
STAR FIRE is definitely on an upward swing at present and couldn't have won more easily when scoring at Bath last Saturday. She carries a 6lb penalty for that facile success but Roger Charlton has booked the talented Edward Greatrex to negate the penalty and the combination look hard to beat in an admittedly stronger contest. Princess Tansy was pulled out of a scheduled engagement in the past week but clearly all is well with her and David Simcock's filly rates the main danger as she's on the upgrade and George Buckell claims a handy 5lb. She looks one to note off her current handicap mark. Shackled N Drawn will be all the better for a reappearance run and is respected along with Houdini.
