In depth

Verdict

Rockfield Tiger is selected to make a winning debut at the expense of Silver Guest, with Declaration Of War and Liberty Island two more to note. Jamie Osborne has been flying since deciding to concentrate more on his two-year-olds, and as they do not appear to take too much getting ready, hopes are high that Rockfield Tiger can make an immediate impact. The son of Dubai Destination out of a Swain mare did a nice piece of work on the Kingsdown gallops on Thursday, and will not want too much for fitness. With his breeding, he could be a potential item on the Godolphin shopping list if impressing enough this year, and with Philip Robinson booked, a big run is expected. Silver Guest will almost certainly open his account before too long, but is already exposed compared to most of his rivals, while Liberty Island and Declaration Of War look ones for the future. John Gosden's youngsters invariably improve for the run, so Master Chef, fifth on his debut at Windsor, has to be given a mention. However, that race was won by an Osborne inmate, Ten Down, and Master Chef may suffer the same fate at the hands of Rockfield Tiger.
