Another tricky handicap in which the selection is Pagan Prince, with Beluga Bay and Calcutta two live dangers. Pagan Prince has come to hand of late, gaining back-to-back successes at Ascot and York. Lisa Jones knows how to ride this fellow, as he needs to be held up then swoop late, tactics that she has employed perfectly so far. James Toller's six-year-old defied a six pound rise when scoring at York and in his current mood it is hard to see him not being in the shake-up here. Beluga Bay's Newbury win has worked out well, with Master Robbie franking the form twice, and the return to a mile is not seen as a problem by James Fanshawe who reports him in good form. Calcutta has found a new lease of life of late and is a course and distance winner, but the burden of 10st 3lb will surely prove too much. With Amanda Perrett's team in fine form, Self Evident can be expected to go well, but in a tricky contest, Pagan Prince can complete a hat-trick.
