Buckeye Wonder, just beaten on his debut here recently, can go one better at the expense of some promising newcomers from the Stoute yard including Roehampton. Michael Jarvis has enjoyed plenty of success with his juveniles this season and Buckeye Wonder looks all set to add to the tally, judged on his narrow defeat to the highly-rated Art Trader a fortnight ago. That experience will stand him in good stead against some potentially decent sorts from top yards. Sir Michael Stoute complicates matters by saddling three, but with Pat Eddery on board, Roehampton may prove best. A 420,000gns son of Machiavellian, he does not hold any fancy entries yet, but may be one to follow next year. His other entries, Admiral and Levitator are also well regarded enough, so the market may be their best guide, but Buckeye Wonder showed enough first time to warrant support here.
