Verdict
Bens Boy has a stiff task on his debut against three winners though he cost £62,000 as a yearling and is related to some decent winners. Michael Wigham isn't noted for wasting entries and his filly Lady Lydia landed a nice touch at Yarmouth after a very promising introduction here. She'll appreciate the step-up to 6f as will Split Rock, who was staying on behind Vodka Time over the minimum trip here after scoring at Southwell. JUSTICE DAY won a Newbury maiden on his debut and was expected to follow up at Ascot but found Anticipated too strong. The winner is highly regarded and compensation awaits David Elsworth's charge.
