Melodramatic will be fancied to take this prize having created a huge impression on her sole outing. Lush is well worth considering as are Danae, Portodora and Alseraaj. The selection was pitched straight into Listed company for her debut and did well to be only beaten around a length and a quarter into fourth. The form looks rock solid and this half-sister to the top class Tante Rose will be expected to win this before going on to better things. She might not have it all her own way though as Lush was well backed to win a strong race at Newbury having shaped well on debut but she failed to give her running. There are mixed messages from the form but the winner is smart and Lush may well yet fulfil her initial promise. Alseraaj, Danae and Portodora all showed ability on their sole outings and should have more to offer this season if they've trained on; they'll need to have done so though if they're to lower the colours of our selection, Melodramatic.
