All eyes will be on Twice Over here and Henry Cecil's colt will be strongly fancied to make a winning return having impressed in his recent work but Raven's Pass should give him plenty to think about. Twice Over went into all the notebooks when winning his debut over course and distance and did nothing to dispel the impression when winning his next outing over ten furlongs. He has any amount to find on the book but is already vying for second favouritism for the Derby and can cement his position at the head of the market for that contest. Raven's Pass won his maiden nicely but it was his win in a Listed race at Ascot that marked him down as a potentially smart performer. He followed that with a demolition of a decent field in the Solario Stakes in a course record time at Sandown. He was beaten 3 lengths in the Dewhurst but the ground had gone against him and any rain would be a big negative for his chances this afternoon. A number of these are held in high regard and this is much more than a two horse race but Twice Over may be able to keep his Derby dream alive by getting his season off to the perfect start.
