This may be the best time to catch WITHOUT PREJUDICE but a good number of this field have claims and the in-form pair of Shaded Edge and Smarty Socks must rate highly. High Ambition is on a fair mark if retaining his ability and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of his chances whilst Grey Boy, Novellen Lad, Sadeek and Folly Lodge are others to which we'd pay close attention with Novellen Lad marginally preferred of that quintet. Shaded Edge is in the form of his life just now and is unexposed on grass after just six starts. He's taking on stronger opposition but cannot be ignored now he's discovered the winning habit. Like Shaded Edge, Smarty Socks also won a Lady Riders' race last time for which he's gone up by 4lbs. He'll need a career best to score from that revised rating but he has run from higher marks in the past and is heading in the right direction at present. The selection's profile is hardly convincing but he hasn't many miles on the clock and has always been held in high regard as his starting price of 6-4 for a 19 runner handicap at this track last September testifies. He looked good when winning at Kempton in October before, once again, flopping at Wolverhampton in the same month. He's a risky proposition but it's worth taking a risk with Without Prejudice.
