A tough conundrum to unravel but we'll opt for CLOWANCE HOUSE ahead of Petrovsky, Distant Memories and the rest. Roger Charlton's colt showed a decent level of form at two and made an entirely satisfactory return to action in a decent maiden at Newbury before converting a penalty kick at Salisbury. There should be plenty more to come from him on his move into handicap company. The problem is that that's also true of a number of the opposition with Petrovsky boasting a profile in keeping with so many from his yard; he's been handed a Group entry for Royal Ascot and we haven't seen the best of him yet. Chiberta King and Admiral Duque won lesser races well enough to believe that they can feature, Distant Memories is bred to come into his own over middle distances this year and won his maiden impressively, Headline Act is better than the bare form of his Chester run whilst Orthology cannot be dismissed as he should improve for the step up to this trip. A keenly contested heat which may go the way of Clowance House.
