    Verdict

Despite being run as a handicap this year, the Challenge Whip has still only attracted a trio of runners with Vamp marginally preferred to Impersonator and Ultimata. John Dunlop's Impersonator is likely to take the field along but the four-year-old has to prove his effectiveness over today's trip, while Ultimata is due to go down 4lbs in future handicaps and is difficult to recommend. That leaves us with Ralph Beckett's Vamp, who comes from a stable in form and has been running well in defeat of late. This looks a lot easier and the daughter of Dracula may just be too good for her rivals.
