Always Waining has struggled against the handicapper since winning at Ascot in July and is taken to make the most of the drop in class with Prins Willem and Top Spec rated the main dangers. The selection is best in at the weights judged by official BHB ratings, ran up to his handicap mark last time and will not mind the cut in the ground. He makes more appeal than James Fanshawe's Prins Willem who may struggle to give weight away in this ground. Richard Hannon's Zuma handled the cut in the ground in similar company at Goodwood on Sunday and has claims but needs to improve. Stablemate Top Spec should also have no problems with the ground but has yet to prove his effectiveness over today's trip and with very few of the others even warranting a mention this should go to Always Waining, who is taken to make the most of the favourable terms.
