      Verdict

With the stalls on the fast side, high numbers may have a slight advantage. The Privateer didn't look that enthusiastic when losing his maiden tag at Doncaster and will certainly find this more competitive. Crown Castle confirmed his well-being when running away with a moderate maiden at Folkestone. He runs here instead of waiting for a conditions event on Thursday. Drawn next to the rails Bigalotthegigalo is certainly worthy of respect. Runner-up in a large field at Doncaster to El Coto, who has since been narrowly beaten off a 5lbs higher mark, John Quinn's gelding could prove a step ahead of the Handicapper, although he does have to prove himself on ground this fast. Zeuss is respected, but will have to improve on his defeat of the enigmatic Coffe Time on the Polytrack, while Go Tech, who is from the same family as St Leger winner Bollin Eric, is another to keep an eye on. However, a chance is taken with Contractor, who always looked likely to make into a better three-year-old. He will be at home on the fast ground and doesn't look badly treated on his second to Viera here last September. The latter went on to boost that form, albeit on the Polytrack, when winning a conditions event with a couple of 80 plus rated rivals trailing in his wake, so Contractor could prove to be well treated. Celestia and handicap debutante Hard Nose are others to keep an eye on regarding the future.
