    Verdict

Despite the new conditions of the race, this has still only attracted five runners with Buster Hyvonen the obvious choice ahead of Smooth Jazz and Majestic Halo. The last mentioned has yet to win a race but Ed Dunlop's filly has run some decent races in defeat; however, they have been on a faster surface than this and she may struggle on the ground so is probably best watched. Hazelnut, a stablemate of the selection, is less exposed than most and should appreciate the return to this surface so cannot be discounted, while Kylkenny was very disappointing last time and may be best left out of calculations judged by that effort. Smooth Jazz has every chance on the best of his form but is another that may be better served by faster ground and preference is for James Fanshawe's Buster Hyvonen, who should be suited by the ground and has every chance of dominating this small field.
