    Verdict

An open affair can go the way of Just Dust, with Disco Dan, Adaptation, Reebal, and Roodolph all seen as potential dangers. There is plenty of winning form to go on here, not least in the shape of Just Dust who has collected five times already. Granted, his earlier successes were gained in lower company, but he appears to be on the upgrade judged by a battling performance at Ascot last time, and with the drop in trip not a problem, he can go close here off a reasonable mark. Disco Dan was expected when landing a Brighton nursery last month, and has the experience to take a hand, although his ability to handle cut in the ground has to be taken on trust. Adaptation looks a filly going places judged on her back-to-back victories at Hamilton, but is another that may not appreciate the going, while Reebal has topweight to contend with. Roodolph could be anything after blitzing his rivals on his Folkestone bow and should be noted in the ring, but for the winner we return to Just Dust.
