Some frustrating types on view and Coyote Creek is selected ahead of Ancient Culture and Longspur. Coyote Creek has had many chances but he does not look completely ungenuine. A step up to 14 furlongs looked a bridge too far but his form over this trip stands up to inspection and this is not a race with much strength in depth. Ancient Culture is persevered with in a visor. The colt does not look entirely straight-forward but Ryan Moore is a man riding with supreme confidence at the moment. Longspur travelled well on debut but lacked for experience when push came to shove. He is watched in the market to see if the lesson has been learnt. Precept tried to make a race of it against Dawn Sky at Lingfield. The going will be markedly different on Saturday. Double Rainbow never raced for Mark Johnston but arrives on the course for Jamie Poulton. Marquee has it to do on figures but is willing in spite of a lack of natural ability. Two Timer caught the eye on his third start and is here versus an engagement in a handicap. Coyote Creek has questions to answer but can silence doubters here.
