Verdict
Trance, Double Deputy and Tribe are the trio for the shortlist and we stick with Trance. The selection stays this trip perfectly well and won over similar at Ayr on his latest outing. The Cesarewitch is likely to be the long time game plan and he can secure a place at this visit. Double Deputy is a useful dual purpose prospect from the John Quinn stable. Although seen out on soft going in the past, he has perfectly respectable form on better going. Tribe won his maiden at Pontefract over much further than this. His stable are often shrewd with their entries and the market is watched. Doctor Scott has struggled of late although his yard are in much better nick. Sunley Peace is a long standing maiden that makes some interest now tried in trip. Peter Bowen saddles three in the race. Mr Ed is known as a dual purpose stayer while Decisive would be in with a shout if able to roll back the years to some of his better flat form. Cape Secret is able though inconsistent. Trance looks the percentage call in a trappy opener.
