Some potentially smart fillies on view in an interesting heat but Menhoubah sets a fair standard and is the form pick ahead of old rival Tolzey while America America is respected along with the unexposed Bay Tree. Clive Brittain's charge looked a classy type when making a winning debut on the Rowley Mile course in May and has confirmed the impression with two excellent efforts in Pattern company since. The Dixieland Band filly found trouble in running when fourth in Listed company next time and was then far from disgraced when occupying the same position behind Attraction in the Group 2 Cherry Hinton on her latest start. The selection had Tolzey, a recent Nottingham maiden winner, three parts of a length behind in the latter event and should have little difficulty in confirming the placings on identical terms while America America is also held on previous Newmarket form. Barry Hills has his team in good form after a lean spell and Bay Tree made a pleasing start to her career when showing a sharp turn of foot to land a Newbury maiden last month. A well-bred sort, who is a half sister to the smart Tante Rose, she can be expected to improve considerably for the experience but Menhoubah has the form in the book and looks the one to beat, particularly as the step up to seven furlongs should suit ideally.
