tracked leader, ridden over 2f out, one pace final furlong
led, ridden and headed inside final furlong, kept on
held up, headway on bit over 1f out, driven to lead reluctantly, near finish

in touch, ridden 3f out, soon weakened
close up, pushed along 3f out, edged left and every chance inside final furlong, unable to quicken close home
Another weak affair that will take little winning and this looks a good opportunity for Tanaffus to open his account at the main expense of Cayman Breeze and Pagan Storm. The Barry Hills-trained colt is the least exposed of the trio and showed the ability to land a race of this nature when finishing a fair fourth behind a smart performer at Haydock on the second of two juvenile starts. The son of Cadeaux Genereux ran below expectations on his only start this term but his stable was out of form at the time and it is to be hoped that, following a break, the selection can confirm the promise of last year's Haydock effort. Pagan Storm has proved an inconsistent type and has twice finished last in modest handicaps either side of a placed effort in a minor event at Brighton. Amanda Perrett's charge looks worth opposing while Cayman Breeze has failed to fulfil early potential and has shaped as though needing further so Tanaffus gets the vote to open his account.
