keen, held up, ridden 2f out, not trouble leaders
close up, ridden and every chance 2f out, unable to quicken final furlong
tracked leader, ridden and every chance 2f out, no extra inside final furlong
held up in last place, smooth headway from 4f out, edged right and led over 1f out, pushed out
held up towards rear, pushed along over 1f out, never dangerous
mid-division, not clear run and switched left over 1f out, ran on towards finish
led, ridden and headed over 1f out, stayed on
close up, ridden over 2f out, weakened approaching final furlong
Crime Scene can land this as he bids to land his hat-trick with both Soapy Danger and Galactic Star worth noting in the betting market. The selections two previous wins have come in Dubai at Nad Al Sheba. The form can to tricky to analyse in the middle east but Crime Scene was at one point thought very highly of and after winning three for Mark Johnstone he was transfered to the Godolphin camp for a winter campagne in Dubai. The Godolphin horses are in good order at present so with confidence in the camp he can score again. Soapy Danger will be the main danger and Mark Johnstone will have a good measure on the selection too having trained him last year. He was second in a Group 3 at Newbury last time out when beaten by Halicarnassus and with that performance behind him connections can feel confident of another decent effort. Galactic Star steps up from handicaps to listed company for the first time. He is on a hat-trick seeking bid after wins at York and Doncaster and now takes on better company. The market may give a few clues on his chances but for the winner we return to Crime Scene.
