Verdict
In this valuable sales race, Copywriter is selected ahead of Prince Desire and Fanatical. The Solario Stakes third, Gaspar van Wittel, is interesting and could well give us a further idea as to the merits of the winner of that race, the impressive Raven's Pass. Eastern Gift was second at Listed level last time and could go well under Ryan Moore, while Errigal Lad comes here as an eyecatching improver following his Haydock maiden win. Prince Desire bolted up in first-time headgear last time and, from a stable in form, is another to consider, as is Copywriter, a very good third in Doncaster's valuable sales race last time, form that, for us, makes him a major player today. Exclamation improved markedly to score at Haydock last time and also earns respect, while Writingonthewall is another likely improver based on his Thirsk maiden win. Thought Is Free was a costly failure at Lingfield last time, although the drop in trip could well suit her today, while Dry Speedfit is better than his Ripon run suggested last time and could go well at a price. Of those towards the bottom of the weights, Anosti, who was fifth in a valuable sales race at Ascot last time, and Fanatical, who ran well in Listed company two runs ago, look the most intersting. For the selection, though, we will stick with Copywriter.
