GOLDEN STREAM tackled exalted company on her final start last season and with another winter on her back she is taken to get back to winning ways now dropped in class; the shortlist consists of Snoqualmie Girl, The Miniver Rose and Pachattack. Sir Michael Stoute's horses are running well and Golden Stream looks an obvious contender here. Her trainer won this race in 2006 and he hasn't had a runner in it since; this filly was good enough to win on her debut at the track in August and judging by her pedigree she looks sure to get this 10 furlong trip. Snoqualmie Girl has a penalty for a Listed win last season and may be up against it as a result, although she is 4lb clear on official ratings. She is still unexposed and wasn't disgraced on her return this season in the 'free handicap'. Take The Hint is unexposed and she cannot be overlooked despite having plenty to find on official ratings, a comment that also applies to Three Moons and Natural Flair. Pachattack is also of interest as she ran well in two Group Three's at the end of last year; if she gets this longer trip then she may not be far away. The Miniver Rose looked unlucky in running in a valuable sales race here in April and this daughter of Derby winner High Chaparral looks sure to progress as a three-year-old. This looks fairly tightly-knit but our preference is for Golden Stream to shower punters in glory.
