Verdict
HATTON FLIGHT has resumed his progression this season and although this is a tougher race he is preferred to Inventor, Precision Break and Pevensey. The selection has a 6lb rise in the weights for his comfortable win at Epsom last time. He evidently gets on well with jockey William Buick (6 wins from 8 rides) and with the ground no problem he is fancied to win again. Also coming here on the back of a win is Redesignation who was able to oblige at Doncaster last time. He is another progressive young horse who is sure to be competitive under just a 3lb rise in the weights. Storyland is a course and distance winner, whilst this is the sort of big field that Pevensey can excel in. Resplendent Light is open to more improvement this season and although he signed off with a poor effort last season, the progeny of Fantastic Light tend to progress well and the drop in trip is also in his favour. Boz and Precision Break were both in the winners' enclosure when last seen before breaking up for the winter and of the pair it is the last-named who makes most appeal assuming that they go a strong tempo throughout as he is a strong stayer. Record Breaker and Dansili Dancer must be respected, as both ran better than their finishing position last time might suggest. Sereth is one to watch in the betting as this German recruit is unexposed and represents shrewd connections, but in a race where the market will help provide some further clues, it is Hatton Flight who can complete the hat-trick.
