DREAM AHEAD provided David Simcock with his first Group One winner when landing the Prix Morny at Deauville and the horse is taken to give his handler a first top-level success on these shores by accounting for Strong Suit. The colt has always been highly regarded and hardly broke sweat in landing the odds on debut before that French effort, in which he scored comfortably despite still looking inexperienced. Cut in the ground is deemed imperative and with that likely he's taken to beat Strong Suit, whose finest hour came when showing a superb turn of foot to land the Coventry. The Hannon-trained colt wears a tongue tie for the first time as he bids to bounce back from defeat in the Phoenix Stakes when events conspired against him and it wouldn't be a surprise were he to do just that, but quicker ground would suit. Temple Meads showed when winning his maiden here that these conditions present no problem and he's the talent to back up his reputation but a refusal to settle is off-putting now he's stepped up in class, while Approve is more of a threat than Samuel Morse who tries a visor as connections seek improvement.
