The topically named Grey Clouds can give punters a silver lining, with the likes of Mezereon and Colourful Lady also worth a mention. Tim Easterby's filly was dropped back in trip at Beverley 10 days ago and stuck to her task well behind Bond May Day, finishing second despite running wide into the straight. She has been tried over further, but this sort of trip, especially on rain-softened ground looks to be her optimum distance. No world beater, she will not have to be to open her account here, with not too many dangers. Mezereon only won a claimer at Wolverhampton the time before last and was beaten on a return there, while Colourful Lady has not excelled since being stepped up in trip but should on breeding. Maybe she is taking time to come to hand, but in any case has it to do, giving weight away to the selection, Grey Clouds.
