In depth

Verdict

Dzesmin is worth chancing in this company and gets the nod over Torrens, Cleaver and the in-form Just Lille. The last named is chancing a four-timer and, although in good heart, has risen steeply in the weights. It is also debatably whether the ground will suit Ann Duffield's charge and she looks vulnerable today. Cleaver gets this trip well and deserves a change of fortune. However, the handicapper may have his measure just now, so he comes here with a little to prove. Torrens has been a grand servant to his connections and, as he acts with cut in the ground, he can give the selection the most to do. However, Dzesmin is eased significantly in grade from his previous start at Epsom and, assuming Nosferatu gives the form some sort of boost in the feature race, this could easily be his for the taking.
