It is interesting that Godolphin have persevered with SILK TRAIL in maiden company and she can finally break that tag at the fourth attempt tonight, with Kammaan the apparent danger. Silk Trail, a filly by Dubai Destination, is dropped back in trip here to 7f after going close in a similar Salisbury contest last time. Fast ground suits, she has the most solid form on offer here and with little else inspiring she looks likely to be up to the task. Kammaan has had one extra run and on three of her four starts she has performed with credit. Michael Jarvis does well with his fillies and it should not be long before this one gets her nose in front, although the return to this trip is not necessarily a positive. Debutant Pure Heir is related to nine winners, including over this specialist trip, so that is a plus for David Barron's runner and with the yard still in-form money for her would be interesting. Lady Bluesky showed little on her flat race debut at Ayr but has hinted at ability in bumpers and if better for that recent run she could make her presence felt, but we will side with Silk Trail.
