KERRYS REQUIEM was very unlucky at Ripon last time and can gain compensation here, while Mullglen looks the obvious danger. Mick Channon's filly is proven with cut in the ground and was in the process of delivering what appeared to be a winning challenge at the Yorkshire circuit when badly hampered and having to settle for a place. This is her optimum trip and connections will be cursing their luck that she has still gone up 2lbs despite not picking up the amount of money to which she was probably entitled. Having been pulled out of an entry last weekend this looks to be her recovery mission. Mullglen appears to act on any ground, and is raised 3lbs here for a battling success at Catterick. Although unproven over 6f, the step up in trip should not be a problem and he can go close. Mister Laurel has been eased a couple of pounds but has it to prove on this ground, while Suzie Quw will act on the surface but may have a few pounds too many and was never in it at Pontefract last time. Lakeman has been given a chance by the handicapper and it would be no surprise to see him finish in the money, the biggest chunk of which can go to Kerrys Requiem.
