Another race with only snippits of form for us to go on and the suggestion here is AQUARIAN SPIRIT to get the better of Rigid and Turf Trivia. With the possible exception of Master Leon, the newcomers on display here probably won't amount to much, and so it is to those with racecourse experience that we turn. Aquarian Spirit has twice tried his luck at Catterick over today's trip, making the frame on both occasions. There was evidence of some improvement from first run to second, and we hope that the upward curve can be maintained for the colt, who is proven in the conditions. Rigid was highly-tried in the Chesham at Royal Ascot last time and that run is best overlooked if you are thinking of financial involvement here. What is does suggest, however, is that the James Given team feel that the Refuse To Bend colt has some ability and this is a much easier task, so he has to be respected. George Moore's Turf Trivia has every chance of handling the ground and after two runs can begin to show us more of his true ability, though it is hard to envisage him being good enough to win. Master Leon is bred for speed and is a half-brother to a 7f juvenile winner, so support in the ring would probably be a significant show of confidence, but Aquarian Spirit can get off the mark today.
