Marshman can confirm terms with Stoic Leader although Hartshead comes very much into the equation on recent evidence. Mark Tompkins' charge has got the ideal draw this afternoon and although he is perhaps a little better with a little more give in the ground, he looks, at the predicted odds, the value in the contest. Stoic Leader has been something of a talisman for the Roger Fisher yard. One would have to forgive his most recent run but he runs far more good races than bad. Hartshead looks a worthy favourite based on his Carlisle victory. A firm ground lover, a three pound rise does not look harsh under the circumstances. Les Arcs is also sure to be popular having posted two recent victories. He is a notorious starter though - either pulling too hard in the early stages or sleeping from the boxes. This makes him somewhat difficult to predict as a betting medium. Tsaroxy is expected to come from off the pace as is Uhoomagoo who will be served up his customary thrust inside the final furlong. Capped For Victory is a Sir Michael Stoute castoff while top-weight Flipando is dropped in trip. A handicap not quite carrying the weight of the Beeswing name but Marshman is our selection.
