In depth

Verdict

This looks wide-open but Commander Han has been running well off higher marks on both Turf and Polytrack. He was probably given too much to do last month at Chelmsford and makes his debut for a new yard that’s going well, though his having a first try over 5f. Tathmeen only beat BE PROUD by a neck here two runs ago and the runner-up now re-opposes on 2lb better terms so is entitled to turn the tables. He also finished ahead of Landing Night here at the start of the month. A hood replaces the usual cheekpieces on Followthesteps but Ivan Furtado’s gelding hasn’t raced since third at Hamilton in June.
