In depth

Verdict

The betting will be important as always in these races but with a fair bit of form to go on it is Bob Shilling who get the nomination ahead of Lord Larrson and Kingsben. The selection showed plenty of promise on his one start over the course and distance and looks sure to be wiser this time around. On that occasion he made smooth headway before tiring and with fitness now assured, he looks sure to acquit himself well. There are some interesting newcomers lurking here; namely Waterloo Road, Benno's Boy, Kingsben and Lord Larrson. The last-named is bred to get further in time but with his stable adept at providing bumper winners, he needs consideration. Similarly Waterloo Road is one to be wary of, a nicely-bred son of Old Vic, whilst Kingsben was an expensive purchase and the stable's runners are often fit first time up. At a price Waldo Winchester could run into a place having shown ability to date, however Bob Shilling is taken to lead them home.
