This is a competitive contest to open the card and the vote is given to Not Now Lewis, who is preferred to Red Current and Without Excuse. The selection was a good second behind General Knowledge at Kempton last time when he was returning from a long break. He is sure to come on for that outing and this slight step-up in trip should work in his favour. The draw could have been kinder but he ran well from a poor draw last time and he looks to have been found a really good opportunity here to get his head in front. Without Excuse has a good draw and he is eased in grade today after being well beaten in a handicap last time. He does have a bit to prove right now but he has winning form in France and at this level he has got to be a serious player. Red Current raced a little too keenly here last time and in the end was well beaten. However, prior to that she had been in good form and if she can settle better here then she should be capable of getting competitive. Polish Prospect has the best of the draw and she can go well at a price. However, she finished behind our selection last time and we take Not Now Lewis to confirm those placings and get his head in front.
