A poor race and it is possible that Yachvili can make a winning start over hurdles at the main expense of Sprinkler and Roman Army. Not a race that will live long in the memory however, Yachvili, who showed plenty of ability in a recent Perth bumper can make a winning start over obstacles. He then chanced his hand in a better race at Naas, but with the ground to suit today and an experienced Irish jockey aboard, a big run looks imminent. Sprinkler ran a great race on his hurdling debut at Sedgefield but then didn't appear to really get home over a longer trip at Market Rasen. He is taken on accordingly. Roman Army drops in trip and he has claims on the pick of his form, although the fact that he is winless in 24 starts all-told tempers enthusiasm somewhat. At a price the winning point-to-pointer Astral Dam needs more than a cursory check in the betting, but the feeling is that he may just need the outing. An open affair once again, with Yachvili taken to win.
