A poor seller where DARCEY might just have the edge over Tina's Best and Another Decree, while Richo remains of some interest. Richard Fahey saddles Darcey, a three-year-old Noverre filly, who has shown that she acts on both fast and good to soft ground so far. She went well over 6f in a similar contest at this track last time out but has also run well over today's distance and she should give a very good account of herself. Tina¿s Best looks the main danger. Eric Alston's first string in the race, she relishes fast ground and gets further than this, so she will perhaps be ridden to set a strong pace and hope the others cry enough as she stays on. She is respected. Another Decree won a Pontefract maiden well over a year ago but his form since has suggested that the handicapper was way too optimistic in his assessment of the gelding¿s ability. The drop into a seller should see him make the frame now. In spite of the good form of David Brown's runners, Richo has not been himself for some time and was thrashed here in a claimer last month. The drop into a seller appears to give him every chance at the weights but he cannot be trusted at present and is overlooked today. Carnival Dream may be able to get involved if at her best, but we'll take Darcey to score.
