Just James may not be the most straight forward of performers but the David Nicholls-trained gelding has been running well in similar grade of late and holds solid claims of resuming winning ways here getting the vote over Franksalot and Island Green. The last mentioned has struggled against the handicapper in his last two starts and may do better now back in this grade but he looks booked for a place at best. Four Kings remains a maiden and may struggle under his big weight, while Frimley's Matterry lacks a recent run and may be best watched at present. More solid claims are held by recent Beverley handicap winner Franksalot who has to be respected but he may fail to give 6lbs and a beating to Just James.
