A wide open finale, but YOUNG GLADIATOR can make it a hat-trick of course and distance wins, and carries our support ahead of Hansomis and Compton's Eleven. His two career successes have come in similar events here this summer. Although poorly drawn, he was last time too but a good ride from Ian Brennan saw him quickly grab the rail and put the race to bed. Similar tactics may be employed today, and he comes here well in at the weights against some out of sorts rivals. Comptons Eleven will be happier in this company than what he's come up against in his last couple of outings at Epsom. He's paid his way over the years but not won since last summer, but coming out of stall one today could prove a massive help. Violent Velocity is in good form and can be relied on to run his race. Hansomis had a great June with two wins and two seconds, but an early July race may have been too much for her, but we'll put a line through that run and say she must come into calculations. However, our selection for the lucky last is Young Gladiatior.
