Spanish Star is back in the right grade and one of four previous course and distance winners in the line-up. Razeyna is another and she was only beaten a length at Kempton last time. PEARLE D’OR followed up a couple of strong performances at Ascot in July with a close third at Chepstow. He handles good to soft so we’ll take a chance that he goes through today’s ground. Ben Hamrash is an improving sort but still at the foot of the weights but Captain Cuddles looks held by the selection on the form book. Pumalin Park has had wind surgery and been gelded since a well-beaten third on his Turf debut at Windsor in May.
