Asset is of some interest now back at seven furlongs but ultimately he is yet to win over the trip and so Lone Wolf is given the nod ahead of Beckermet. The selection represents a trainer in fair form and as one of the two three-year-old's in the race, gets a handy 3lb allowance from the older horses. He arrives here on the back of a very good third in a Listed contest in Deauville and may well be suited by today's drop in trip. Beckermet has been a revelation since dropping to six furlongs and whilst he is effective over this trip, he too has never won over the distance and he may also face competition for the lead. Levara has been disappointing of late and needs to bounce back to form, whilst Royal Power has been out of form this year and is another who needs a revival. Vortex showed more promise on his most recent start and should not be discounted, along with the intriguing but unknown quantity of the Norwegian-trained Miyasaki. All in all this doesn't look the strongest of Listed contests, and the vote goes to Lone Wolfe.
