WELSH OPERA is the nominal pick; Espy and Sister Clement should be to the fore of the betting. The selection has plenty to prove having had just the three starts on grass and having never finished in the money. However, she was running well when last seen in action and may be able to translate her form on artificial surfaces to turf whilst her yard has been in good form over the past two months. Espy hasn't quite gone on as expected but he has been holding his form well in recent outings and has proved competitive from his current perch. He may just need a change of luck in order to get his head in front and he should be a popular selection. Sister Clement was just that at Salisbury last time but she was run out of things close home and failed to land the money; she's unexposed and clearly deemed capable in some quarters of landing a race of this nature. Malapropism and Rosie Two hail from different ends of the spectrum in terms of experience but both enter calculations in a race where Blessed Place also merits serious consideration but Welsh Opera gets the nod.
