A high draw can help Resplendent One reverse the Lincoln form with New Seeker and Common World, while Zero Tolerance has to be a serious consideration if the betting indicates the extra fortnight of preparation will make a difference for David Barron's charge. The five-year-old missed a trip to Doncaster after being found to be slightly lame a couple of days before his intended reappearance, but all is apparently now well with the son of Nashwan. He holds the likes of Impeller on last season's form and should make a bold bid if he is on song. As should his stablemate Flipando, who ran a blinder in the Spring Mile. However, the draw has done him no favours and he will need plenty of luck on his side. Divine Gift does not have too much to find to get involved and also has to merit each-way consideration. He was well supported in the Lincoln but was beaten on merit in the end. He should be better for the run and has to be considered as a threat this afternoon. New Seeker will be a popular choice after his brave effort last time out. However, he had almost the best of the draw on that occasion and is now 2lb higher in the handicap. He is also unlikely to represent the best value if all his owners decide to get behind him again it can prove to be profitable to look elsewhere. Which is where we turn to Resplendent One, who was murdered by the draw at Doncaster but is far better treated by his stalls position today. The Terry Mills-trained gelding is still open to acres of improvement and, with Richard Quinn, who has a terrific record in this type of race, doing the steering; everything looks in place for a bold show today.
