Verdict
Western Roots looks the percentage call in this amateur riders' handicap and he is nominated to get the better of Laish Ya Hajar and Gallego. The selection ran well last time at Windsor after winning previously at Salisbury, and he remains unexposed on the turf so he looks to hold solid claims. Laish Ya Hajar is another who won last time out and he makes plenty of appeal as he scored last time despite his saddle slipping. He is consistent and he should be capable of making the frame. Gallego should not be inconvenienced by this step-up in trip and he won well for this rider last time out at Salisbury. Home is in good form and he is another with place prospects, although he would be ideally suited by an extra furlong. What's For Tea appeals most of the others, but in an open race to get proceedings underway we will stick with Western Roots as the pick.
