In depth

Verdict

This promises to be an interesting little heat which may go to Snoqualmie Girl. The Montjeu filly made a pleasing debut at Windsor over five furlongs and that experience and today's longer trip should stand her in good stead this evening. The form looks reasonably solid and it was an encouraging start to her career. Starlarks has run two sound races at Lingfield and should win a race, Evelyn May only missed by a short-head at Haydock but it remains to be seen what the form is worth, Sicilian Pink may find considerable improvement whilst there were positives to be taken from Russian Rave's debut at Goodwood and she's not without a chance. Jockey bookings would suggest that Evaluation is the pick of the Hannon trio but she's pretty stoutly bred and may already need a stiffer test. Runners from the Meehan yard usually benefit from a run whilst Perfect Price, who looks interesting on paper, hails from a yard that has yet to saddle a winner in this division. The suggestion, then, is Snoqualmie Girl.
