Derinlaur, a winner between the flags and of a bumper, made a successful handicap debut over hurdles at Naas recently where the testing conditions were very much in his favour. Ferry Point has had very little racing in the past couple of years but looked right back to her best when runner-up to today's rival Kyoto Summit at Down Royal and should make further progress. The winner was gaining his maiden victory in 17 starts over hurdles but that was his first effort over this trip and another big run is anticipated. PISTOL JACK was in cracking form at this time a year ago and though not seen since falling at Punchestown in May can return with a victory under regular pilot Roger Loughran. The bottom pair, Cantrell and Instigator, both ran well last time but have gone 42 starts between them without winning.
