MISS MEDIATOR shaped very nicely on debut at York and is fancied to land this at the main expense of Master Macho, Earl Wind and Golden Taurus. Michael Dods' filly was third to Imperialistic Diva earlier in the month in a strong maiden (Master Macho back in a well-held sixth) and she should have learnt plenty. Her low draw should work in her favour and a bold bid is expected. Marina Belle showed little on debut, a comment that also applies to Eilean Mor and both may need more time. Fleet Captain is learning and he contested a better race than this at York; the drop in trip should be ok for this speedily-bred fellow. Golden Taurus is also going the right way although his small-field form at Sandown is hard to weigh up, so a bigger threat could be Master Macho who is respected despite his exposed profile. The most interesting newcomers are Alben Star and Earl Wild by some distance. The former is from a successful family and his sales price increased this year, whilst Earl Wild's sire Kodiac has made a speedy start with his first batch. The vote though goes to Miss Mediator.
