Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Jim Goldie's lightly raced Rothesay Chancer ran better in a similar contest to this at Carlisle over six furlongs at the beginning of the month and may do better dropped to the minimum but this may go to one of the more experienced runners with CRIMSON KNOT looking to have been found a suitable opportunity to finally open her account. Alan Berry's filly has three times found one too good in six outings, including over course and distance in a conditions race last time, but this looks easier and she can go one better. Nigel Tinkler's Saltergate is similarly experienced to the selection but was very disappointing at Beverley last time and now looks best watched. There is little on form, and only 1lb on official BHA ratings, to chose between Surely This Time and Upark Flyer and both should run reasonable races but have a bit to find with Crimson Knot.
